Allianz unveils Australia’s first QR code on football tops and launches Fan Hub

  • In partnership with Football Australia, Allianz Australia has launched a new digital platform called Fan Hub, giving football fans more reasons to cheer.
  • Football Australia has released a retail version of the Pre-Match Warm Up Top in collaboration with Allianz, which features a unique QR code, a first for Australian national football team training kits.

Today, Allianz Australia, the official Insurance Partner of Football Australia is excited to launch a brand-new digital platform for Australian football fans, Fan Hub. The launch comes as part of its ongoing commitment to bringing communities, people and sport together.

Football fans are encouraged to continue visiting the Allianz Fan Hub to uncover a wealth of football content and keep up to date with new and exclusive perks, promotions, and competitions on offer.

Alongside the Fan Hub, today Allianz, inconjunction with Football Australia, has also released a new branded Pre-Match Warm Up Top. Available for purchase through shop.footballaustralia.com.au and selected retail partners, the Warm Up Top will feature a unique Allianz logo on the back where the iconic Allianz Eagle will be a scannable QR code, giving owners direct access to Allianz Fan Hub.

The Fan Hub, as well as the Pre-Match Warm Up Top will launch ahead of the CommBank Matildas’ match against Korea Republic on Friday, 4 April at Allianz Stadium in Sydney as the team prepares for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™.

With two of Allianz’s biggest sporting sponsorships, Allianz Stadium and Football Australia, coming together for the first time, Allianz has put fans at the forefront of its activity happening in the lead up to, and at the fixture.

On matchday, football fans at Allianz Stadium are invited to enter the major prize on Fan Hub and cheer their loudest ‘Go Australiaahhh’. Fans who can cheer over 125 decibels will receive a special prize on the spot. The Allianz social team will also ‘surprise and delight’ three lucky fans and their plus ones to upgrade their tickets and head to a corporate box to enjoy the game, with an additional 750 Allianz customers in attendance.

Shez Ford, Chief General Manager, Consumer at Allianz Australia, expressed her excitement about the upcoming event, saying, “This is going to be huge! Not only will Australians have the opportunity to watch what I'm sure is going to be a nail-biting match between Australia and the Republic of Korea, but we will also see two of our major partnerships, Allianz Stadium and Football Australia, come together. The creation of the Allianz Fan Hub and the Pre-Match Warm Up Top is a natural extension of these partnerships, creating a unique opportunity for Allianz to continue authentically engaging with the football community.”

These launches follow the announcement of Allianz Australia’s partnership with Football Australia in July 2024. The partnership with Football Australia underscores Allianz’s commitment to supporting the community, and promoting social inclusion through sport, aligning with Football Australia’s values and vision. Globally, Allianz has a history of supporting football, stadiums, and other major sporting initiatives.
