Cheques to EFT payments

We’re phasing out cheques and moving to secure digital payments
We’re moving away from issuing cheques to make payments. This is in line with the Australian Government’s intention to phase out cheques by 2030. If you currently receive cheques from us, we’re here to help you switch to digital payments.

Commencing in October 2024, we’ll stop issuing cheques. Instead, Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) will be the main way to receive secure digital payments direct to your nominated bank account.

If we need to pay you, but you’re not set up for EFT, we’ll let you know the next steps.

Payments that are moving to EFT include policy refunds, customer claims, and supplier payments.

We understand this change may be difficult, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We’re here to help.
