Allianz today announced the appointment of Vicky Drakousis as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In this role, Vicky will lead all aspects of Allianz’s human resource function, including recruitment and talent management, learning and organisational development, compensation and benefits, and business partnering.

She spent the last ten years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA), in several Executive General Manager Human Resources (HR) roles in the Wealth, Institutional, Business & Private Banking, and Global Asset Management divisions. Prior to CBA, Vicky held senior HR roles at State Street where she gained extensive international experience and brings to Allianz a wealth of expertise working across cultures.

Vicky holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Masters in Organisational Development, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She will join Allianz in April 2019, and report directly to Allianz’s Managing Director, Richard Feledy.

When speaking of her appointment at Allianz, Vicky said: “The current environment for financial services companies is both exciting and challenging. Allianz has done a fantastic job of adapting its people and culture to the internal and external changes in the insurance sector. I see this new role as a great opportunity to continue to evolve Allianz’s culture and drive a forward-thinking people agenda. I’m very excited to now be a part of the next phase of Allianz’s growth.”

Vicky will replace Allianz’s current Chief Human Resources Officer, Tim Dawson, who, after 25 years with the company, has announced his intention to retire.
