Just shy of 100 days to go until the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024, Allianz Australia is proud to announce the newest athlete to join their official ambassador cohort – swimming sensation Mollie O’Callaghan.
Mollie made history at the World Championships in Fukuoka becoming the first woman in history to win gold medals in both the 100m and 200m freestyle events. She won a further three gold medals and set a new world record in the 200m freestyle.
With a further two Olympic gold medals under her belt from relay events at her debut Olympics in Tokyo, 19-year-old Logan City born, Mollie is ready to make her mark at the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
“Preparing for the Olympic Games is no easy feat – a lot of hard work and dedication goes into it. I’m fortunate to have a great support network around me, and being a part of the Allianz Ambassador team means I can learn and get ready with some of our nation’s best athletes.
“I'm proud to stand beside a group of amazing role models and hope that, as an Allianz Ambassador, I can hopefully inspire more young athletes to make their own mark and set goals of their own."
Mollie joins Allianz Australia’s cohort of ambassadors including Cate Campbell, Madison de Rozario, Nic Beveridge and the Australian Steelers. Owen Wright also continues to be an ambassador outside of the Olympic Games. The Allianz Group has over 110 Allianz athlete ambassadors.
Allianz has a long history of supporting athletes and sporting communities and are committed to helping athletes get the most out of life, both during and after their sporting career. Allianz are proud to not only be able to support our current cohort of athletes, but also inspire and encourage future Olympians and Paralympians to achieve their goals and get ready for the best.
Shez Ford, Allianz Australia’s Chief General Manager, Consumer, said, “All of us at Allianz are thrilled to have Mollie join the Allianz family as she takes on the next chapter of her career. We’re committed to supporting her dreams to compete at the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
“We’re looking forward to Paris 2024, and we know all of Australia will be with us as we cheer on our athletes!”
