Allianz Australia appointed by icare to manage claims for the Treasury Managed Fund

7 November 2019

Allianz Australia has been appointed by icare as a claims manager for the Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) scheme from 1 January 2020. This appointment is subject to contract execution.

The TMF scheme provides comprehensive insurance protection for NSW Government Agencies and helps deliver on the NSW Government’s commitment to keep the people and property of the state safe. Allianz is one of four claims managers appointed to provide services for the TMF workers’ compensation portfolio.

The announcement by icare of Allianz’s successful tender is a continuation of Allianz’s longstanding support to the NSW public sector over the past 14 years. Allianz has enjoyed a strong relationship with icare’s Insurance for NSW, in the management of the TMF since 2005.

Mark Pittman, General Manager, Workers' Compensation, Government Services said the appointment by icare was a testament to the success of Allianz’s workers' compensation teams.

“Allianz is thrilled to again be appointed as a claims manager for the Treasury Managed Fund. We share icare’s vision to establish the TMF as a truly customer centric, financially sustainable scheme which enhances the quality of life for the people employed by NSW Government.

“At the heart of our approach is our focus on building strong partnerships with icare and NSW Government Agencies which together, deliver outcomes for the people employed by NSW through service excellence and continuous improvement.

“Allianz’s extensive workers' compensation experience, strong relationship with icare, and knowledge of icare’s new service and TMF operating models mean we are well placed to service customers for the next three years.

“We look forward to working with icare to continue to support customers throughout their workers' compensation experience”, Mr Pittman said.
