Allianz Australia to move Sydney Headquarters to Wynyard Place

2 July 2018

Allianz Australia has today announced it will move its Sydney headquarters from 2 Market Street to 10 Carrington Street in the upcoming Wynyard Place precinct from October 2020.

Allianz Australia has finalised a 10-year lease agreement with the developers of the new iconic precinct, Brookfield Property Partners, to secure premium accommodation in the centre of the CBD and will include a move to activity based working and greater flexibility.

Allianz Australia Managing Director Richard Feledy said, ‘‘As an employer of choice, Allianz is committed to attracting and retaining the best talent and making sure that our people have the right tools and environment to embrace technology whilst maximising flexibility, mobility and collaboration.”

“As workplaces adopt a more autonomous work style, companies need to provide employees with more choice around how, when and where they work. The move to Wynyard Place will provide premium grade facilities and amenities and enable us to create the kind of workplace needed to take Allianz into the future.”

The move to Wynyard Place reflects Allianz’s shift to a more collaborative and flexible work environment and will see Allianz adopt activity based working and a new standard in workplace design. It will also provide greater connectivity with Allianz’s North Sydney premises which will house its new centre of excellence for IT services.

“From August 2018, our IT teams will be moving into newly refurbished offices at 101 Miller Street, North Sydney and to activity based working. This will see the consolidation of our three existing Sydney CBD IT locations and will set a new standard in IT service delivery for Allianz,” Mr Feledy said.

“As we look to ensure Allianz’s future success and better serve our customers, adopting more innovative ways of collaborating, such as activity based working, will enable us to leverage technology and work smarter to respond to the changing needs of our customers.”

Head of Development, Brookfield Properties Australia, Carl Schibrowski said “Wynyard Place is a state-of-the-art office property attracting innovative organisations who wish to provide expansive, agile workspaces and diverse retail options for staff. As an existing tenant of Brookfield in Perth, we are delighted to welcome Allianz to Wynyard Place.”
